Meanwhile, we're growing in our awareness that the traditional Thanksgiving story many of us grew up with was only a brief chapter in a much bigger story of conquest. But the ancient impulse to give thanks remains. Let's celebrate all that we are grateful for, not least the chance to learn and grow.
